Mammootty Superstar tests positive for COVID-19: The Mammootty megastar has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. According to his reports, on the evening of Saturday 15 January, he experienced some symptoms including mild cold and sore throat and when he did a COVID test the results came back positive.
The 70-year-old actor is reportedly in good health at the moment, and is in isolation at home as he does not have any other complications. More information regarding the same is awaited. Mammootty was tentatively filming in Kochi for his ambitious upcoming project titled 'CBI 5'. It is being said that during this time he realized all this problem. Due to the current scenario of Mammootty testing positive for COVID-19, the shooting of the film has been temporarily suspended for two weeks. When he recovered, he started working again.

Mammootty Superstar positive for COVID-19: Let us tell you that 'CBI5' is one of the much awaited upcoming films of Mammootty. The upcoming film marks the fifth installment of the popular investigative series. Director K Madhu and writer SN Swamy, who worked for the previous installments of the franchise - 'Oru CBI Diary Kurippu', 'Jagrut', 'Sethuram Iyer CBI' and, 'Nerarian CBI' are reuniting for the upcoming film .
Mammootty will reprise the role of Sethuram Iyer, a CBI officer. Mukesh and Jagti Sreekumar, who were a part of all the previous four installments, will be reprising their respective roles in the upcoming film.
Mammootty Superstar positive for COVID-19: Meanwhile, the makers of 'CBI 5' started shooting on November 29 and have been shooting continuously since then. Mammootty was associated with the sets on December 11 and some pictures from the sets were going viral on social media.
On the other hand, Mammootty also has another interesting project in the pipeline, titled 'Nanapakal Neerath Mayakkam'. The megastar is joining hands with acclaimed filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery for this project. The team wrapped up shooting in Tamil Nadu in November. Ramya Pandian plays the leading lady in the film.
