GATE 2022 registration date starts on August 30, website launched, Registration Process to Begin

GATE 2022: The Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE) 2022 in Engineering will be conducted on February 5, 6, 12 and 13, 2022, and the registration will take place from August 30 to September 24. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur will conduct the exam this year.


 The institute has launched the GATE 2022 website-gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Two new papers - Geomatics Engineering (GE) and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NM) have also been added to the exam this year.



VK Tiwari, Director, IIT-Kharagpur said, “The two new papers will provide direct benefits to our graduates in these two areas, especially when the country requires human resource with advanced capabilities in shipbuilding industries and geo-informatics.”

Besides this, GATE is rapidly gaining brand value and foreign universities are also using the score for their admission, said Professor Tewari.


GATE 2022 admit card will be available for download on January 3 and results will be declared on March 17. IIT Kharagpur said the dates are provisional and the exams may be postponed for "situations beyond control" amid COVID-19.


GATE exam is for admission to master's program and for recruitment in some public sector companies. Children are now getting a great opportunity to start their career.


GATE is jointly administered by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at Kharagpur, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Chennai and Roorkee on behalf of National Coordination Board - GATE of Ministry of Education . Higher Education Department.
