Its Purpose
To demarcate rural population area using drone surveying technology
Property card to be issued to give records of rights to people in rural areas
Creating the right land record for Ruler planning
Determination of property tax
Creating survey infa structure and GIS MAP so that any department can use it when needed
Assistance in better-facilitated Gram Panchayat Development Plan using GIS MAP
Reduction in property related disputes and legal matters
Key Features of The Scheme
4.62 lakh villages of the country will be covered
Out of this 100000 villages will be covered in the initial phase during 2020 to 2021
In this initial phase, the villages of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Karnataka are included as well as some villages bordering Punjab and Rajasthan.
Regular operating system station CORS (CONTINUOUS OPERATING SYSTEM) network of Punjab and Rajasthan will also be established
All these states have signed this MoU of the Survey of India
Under this MoU, drone survey will be conducted in rural areas for the purpose of this scheme.
These states have finalized the format of digital property card and the villages in which drone survey is to be done.
Property cards have been given different names in different states.
Title deeds in Haryana, rural property ownership record in Karnataka, rights records in Madhya Pradesh, sanad in Maharashtra, ownership records in Uttarakhand and gharoni in Uttar Pradesh
Benefits of the scheme
Farmers can use their property as a financial asset to avail loans and other financial benefits.
Villagers can now buy their property more without dispute through the property card.
Will help to make rural India self-reliant
Beneficiaries will now have legal document and receipt card of their home
